Data Entry Job Opportunity
OK. Here's an alternative to the work you do in the office. When you're bored, just try doing some data entry job over the net. You can earn at a minimum $1 per entry and get around $1.2K per month. Not bad right?

Working in Singapore... from Manila.
So here I am, back in Manila. Enjoying the endless food trip on the finest and dirtiest places in town. :) I also get to blog again and yeepee! I was finally able to open my old account - The Blue Quill blog which I started back in 2007.
Anyway, I'm back for work. I transfered to our local office here in Manila. Same position, same company, same everything. Still doing what I do best.
I don't know if I can consider myself lucky because of the opportunity presented to me. Work is not that tough anymore considering the fact that we have 2 new people who joined the company in Singapore. But still, I'm supporting all the regional clients which is a total pain in the a**.
So, am I still lucky?

It's all about WORK
It has been almost a year now and time has indeed flown pretty past. With all honesty, I am really burned out. However, I managed to learn a lot of different tips and tricks when it comes to online advertising. This I believe has given me a new outlook on how I use the internet.
I think I mentioned before that I am in the online marketing industry. OK, from IT Support to web design to content writing to SEO and finally, here's SEM. Before, I used the internet to surf for pictures, read some sports news, update my Friendster, Facebook and MySpace. But know, I begin to think of ways on how to advertise on the websites that I frequently visit. Wow.. It's all about the job, it's all about the work.
Enough of that, so after 1 year, I've spent over 10 hours at work every day, less than 30 minutes of lunch, a few weekends working at home and even going to work. Am I burned out? I think so. Should I continue? I love my work! I love my job! I love my role! :)
Hmm... then maybe I should continue doing this same stuff. Outside Singapore perhaps? or back to my mother land? ;)

Re-post from my Tumblr Blog
A lot of thoughts are running across my mind every single day. When I got back in Manila for a vacation a few days ago, I realized and noticed a couple of things:
1. Too many billboards.
2. Too many tarpaulins.
3. Too many handwritten ads.
4. Too many printed materials in buses, trains and cabs.
Well, these are just a few. Internet marketing has a very slow growth in this country. How can we make Internet advertising a lot better in Manila? Why do I want ads to just go online? One reason is the fact that billboards pose a lot of dangers in the cities of Manila. Especially when there are typhoons. Another thing is, its a LOT more cost-effective to go online than print ads. SEM or search engine marketing offers well targeted ads compared to print ads which anyone can see.
Social media (Facebook, Friendster, MySpace, etc.) is a big hit in the Philippine Islands. Another question: Why? As a Filipino, I think we love getting all the attention we want. With these mediums, we get exposure, we get a link or a URL with our pictures, profiles, etc. Advertising in social media has shown a significant growth when Friendster and Facebook debuted in Philippines. I see tremendous growth in the next few years. Especially now that games are starting to dominate Facebook, maybe ads will follow.
Enough with the technical details. Maybe I can go deeper when Philippines is ready for Internet marketing.
Some key things to improve in Philippines to make Internet marketing a success.
1. Internet Infrastructure: Internet is damn slow!! How can we explore on video ads, image ads, flash ads, rich media ads, etc. with a slow internet connection??
2. Trust factor: Filipinos don’t trust advertisers. One thing is, there are so many con men out there that make people scared of doing transactions online.
3. Accessibility: Let’s face it. In a 3rd world country such as the Philippines, there is a huge chunk of the population without internet connection or even computers.
So before we dive into the growth of Internet marketing on a local perspective, I think we need to fix a few issues first.
